Last weekend double bassist Tom Peters travelled to Canada to perform the world premiere of his latest silent film score, the 1928 silent film “The Passion of Joan of Arc”. Peters was invited to play his score at the Toronto Silent Film Festival with fellow chamber musician Joelle Morton, a violonist who is on the faculty at the University of Toronto where the film was screened. In a second two-night performance, Peters and Morton travelled to Ottawa to repeat the gig.
