Bill Cunliffe – Langham Huntington May 23; Pasadena Pres May 30
Grammy winninng jazz pianist Bill Cunliffe and his trio will be in the lobby-lounge of the Langhham Huntington Hotel and Spa from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Backing Cunliffe are Darek Oles on bass and Joe Labarbera on drums. Tickets are $20 and include complimentary valet parking. Information: (626) 568-3900. This concert and three others scheduled through the year are in partnership with the American Jazz Institute.
Cunliffe will also perform at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church. The concert, sponsored by Friends of Music at the church, will include Cunliffe’s composition “Imaginacion” and will be performed by Cunliffe with the Pasadena Singers directed by Tim Howard. Admission is free.
