Latin Night at LACMA June 6 – Grupo Falso Baiano

file-foto-grupofalsobaiano-lacma-coff-gall-june-20091Grupo Falso Baiano is a Bay area group that performs a blend of traditional Brazilian choro (SHO-roo) music with modern influences such as jazz, flamenco and samba. The group was a big hit at Red White and Bluezz and Coffee Gallery Backstage last year. A fun—and free—outing to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Latin Night is awaiting: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6. J. Eva Scow, mandolin, joins Grupo Falso Baiano as a special guest. Closer to home, Grupo Falso Baiano will be at Altadena’s Coffee Gallery Backstage at 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 8. Cover is $15 for this event.
