The eighth annual “Music Under the Stars” on the plaza fronting the Pasadena City Hall will be held on Sunday, June 7 with entertainment starting at 5:30 p.m. and a concert with the Pasadena Pops Orchestra at 7:30 p.m.
Each year a community choir is formed to participate in the concert with the Pops Orchestra under the leadership of Rachael Worby, conductor. There are still openings available in the choir and you are invited to be a part of this fun, gala evening. There will be two sessions to rehearse: 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 1 at Marshall Fundamental School, 990 N. Allen Ave., Pasadena, Room 123; and a dress rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. June 6 at the Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena. Interested singers are encouraged to contact Jerri Price-Gaines at (626) 793-7172, ext. 18 or by email to jprice@pasadenasymphony-pops.org to let her know you will attend rehearsals.
Music to be performed includes “God Bless America”, “America the Beautiful”, “Armed Forces Salute”, and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”.
