Free Community Night at Pasadena City Hall June 7th

Pasadena Pops Orchestra, Rachael Worby, conductor, vocalist Valerie Pettiford, the All-City Band from the Pasadena Unified School District and the Community Concert Choir join to celebrate music and summer in Pasadena at 5:30 p.m. (pre-concert activities) and 7:30 p.m. (concert) on Sunday, June 7 at the steps of the Pasadena City Hall. The entire event is free except food purchases.
Pre-concert fun will include family picnics, a food court, dancers from Rose City Ballroom, balloon artist, jugglers, face painters and more.
Pasadena Pops will perform a tribute to Louis Armstrong, Broadway singer Valerie Pettiford recalls “Moon River” and “How High the Moon”, plus movie classics and a rousing finale with the 80-voice Community Concert Choir singing patriotic songs. Choir members come from the Hollywood Master Chorale, the Burbank Chorale, the St. Francis De Sales Chorale, the Philipine Chamber Singers and others. Bring a chair; bring a blanket; bring a picnic.
