Talented Bishop to Perform on Church Organ
The Rt. Rev’d Daren K. Williams, Bishop of the Anglican Church in America’s Diocese of the West is an accomplished organist, a professional prior to his seminary ordination. He will demonstrate his talent and skill on the organ at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, June 21 at St. Mary’s of the Angels Anglican Church, 4510 Finley Ave., Hollywood. The program will include the works of Bach, Vierne, Near and Jean Langlais and the Renaissance choral group Jouyssance will sing a classic Evensong service. The choir is directed by Nicole Baker; Williams will accompany. While the concert is free, donations are being accepted to restore the organ in this Hollywood-prone church.
