“Koyannisqatsi” at Hollywood Bowl July 23

The 1982 film is of fast-moving images of nature and modern facilities that are at once eye-opening and confusing. Glass’ music was avant-garde 25 years ago and difficult today. But, let’s listen again and see how it plays today. Michael Riesman conducts the orchestra, Grant Gershon is music director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Tickets are $1 to $96. Ticketmaster: (800) 745-3000 or at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Information: (323) 850-2000.
