The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association is sponsoring World Music Night at the Los Angeles Zoo on Tuesday, July 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The animals at the zoo (those who are still up past their bedtime) can be seen until 8:00 p.m.
Picnicking is permitted, but an array of food and beverages at a cost of $3 to $4 for appetizers, $7.50 to $9.50 at food stations, beverages such as beer $5, imported beer $6, wine by the glass, $6 and martinis, $7. Food will be available.
On July 24, music will be cover bands playing classic rock. The featured food will be All-American BBQ menu among other food offerings. Music
Music will be performed by Hotel California (Eagles music); The Rubber Soles (Beatles); Highway 61 Revisited (Bob Dylan); Cibemsos (Grateful Dead); The Heist (The Who, The Doors, Led Zeppelin) and Upstream (Reggae music).
Admission for Music in the Zoo for non-members of GLAZA is $16.50, adults; $10.50 kids, 6 to 15; under age 5, free. Discount admission is available to KCET members at www.lazoo.org.
