Original and period and exact copy instruments are used by members of Distorted Pearl will perform music of the French Baroque era. Bruce Teter plays French bagpipes and recorder; Curtis Berak on an original French hurdy-gurdy; and Jason Yoshida, Baroque guitar. The musical presentation is in conjunction with French painting exhibit at the museum. Distorted Pearl moniker is taken from the Portuguese word “barroco: which means distorted pearl.
The concert will be held in the garden and is free with museum admission. Museum admission is adults, $8; Seniors (62+) $4; Under 18, free. On Friday the museum is open from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Information: (626) 449-6840.
