South Pasadena Restoration Concerts Presents Chamber Music Palisades Oct 25

File foto - Chamber Music Palisades - Delores Stevens, Susan GreenbergThe second in a series of eight concerts at the South Pasadena Public Librarywill present Chamber Music Palisades at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 in a program of the music of Johann Joaquim Quantz, Madeline Dring, Andre Previn, Beethoven and Francis Poulenc.

Founded in 1997, the Chamber Music Palisades is headed by its co-artistic directors, pianist Delores Stevens and flutist Susan Greenberg. Joining the founders for this concert will be oboist Lara Wickes and Damian Montano, bassoon.
Wickes is principal oboist with the Santa Barbara Symphony and acting principal oboist with the New West Symphony. Her reputation extends from the Baroque, classical literature and new compositions. Montano has a varied music career which includes compositions which have been played by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (of which he is a member) and others, and a studio musician regularly on-call, as a bassoonist.
The Restoration Concerts are presented by the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library and the Restoration Concert Committee. Kathy Folsom and Kay Rosser are co-chairs and members include  David Battin, Marcia Battin, Shireen Chang, Ann Erler, Janet Erwin, Connie Flanders and Yvonne Voisin. Funds from the proceeds of the concert are used to continue to enhance the historic Community Room where the concerts are staged.
Tickets for the Restoration Concerts are $18 at the door, as space allows.
