We told you when Los Angeles Children’s Chorus opened a new section of their chorus to boy vocalists with changing voices back in September. Now it is a reality as the new group of high-school age young men whose voices tend to cracks a bit as it heads to a lower vocal range, will present its debut performance at a special concert and fund-raiser in a private home in San Marino. The group, “Emerging Voices” is led by Steven Kronauer, a noted singer, conductor, educator and voice teacher.
Current members of “Emerging Voices” are Christopher Adams-Cohen, Arthur Nguyen Diep and Isaac Calvin of San Marino; Joseph Beech and Gregory Sliskovich of Los Angeles; Thor Blough, Eric Lifland and Benjamin Liu of Pasadena; Brandon Cheung, Jameson Evans and Marquis Williams of La CaƱada Flintridge; Justin Filbrich of Manhattan Beach; Ian Ford of Arcadia; Andrew Huerta of Sherman Oaks; Peter Kurtzner of Marino Del Rey; Daniel O’Brien and Benno Ressa of Van Nuys; Paul Supanich of North Hollywood; Nico Walsh of Toluca Lake; and Joshua Williams of Hawthorne.
Tickets to this fund-raiser are $150 for an evening of song by “Emerging Voices”, gourmet hors-d’oeuvres and fine spirits. Proceeds from the event, which is open to the public, benefit the “Emerging Voices” program. Directions to the private home given with tickets. For information, please call (626) 793-4231.
