Markus Pawlik, pianist, Serves ‘Music at Noon’ in Pasadena Feb 10

Markus Pawlik

Music at Noon at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, continues to serve up some of the finest musicians. How this program is able to attract so much outstanding talent for a brief 45-minute recital is an amazing accomplishment. Fine pianist Markus Pawlik will provide a brief concert this coming Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12:10 p.m.
Pawlik, when not traveling the concert circuit world-wide, is at his home in Berlin or in Los Angeles. The 44 year-old Pawlik has been recording for Naxos Records and has three albums under his belt. He has been recognized for promoting the works of Moritz Moszkowski, a composer who was quite popular in his early years, but died in 1925 an unknown artist.
Here is a rare opportunity to hear an artist whose European reputation is quite high for his classical, romantic piano repertoire as well as his explorations into contemporary music.
The Pasadena Presbyterian Church is at 585 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. The concert is free. Lunch can be enjoyed after the concert (at about 1:00 p.m.) in the church courtyard. Lunch is available for a $6 donation. To see the line up of future Wednesday Music at Noon concerts, visit www.ppc.net/music/noonconcerts.html.
