Summer Jazz series at Descanso Gardens. Tickets to gardens required.
July 1—Brazilian sound of the Robert Kyle Trio, 5:30 p.m. at Descanso Gardens. Kyle is a Saxophonist/flutist/composer who has worked with all the top pops and jazz singers and is a top rated studio musician. Kyle lives in Altadena.
Picnic on the lawn (a rarity at Descanso, but allowed for this event) or try the newly opened Camellia Lounge at the Japanese Full Moon Tea House providing cocktails and small appetizers. Music from the jazz concert can be heard from the Lounge.
Tickets to the gardens are $8, general admission; $6 seniors and students; $3 children ages 5 through 12. Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Dr.
