Paul Sherman to Conduct Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra June 27

Violin will be auctioned at Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra's June 27th concert

Paul Sherman, highly regarded oboist with Southwest Chamber Music, Director of Ensemble GREEN and conductor of two local community symphony orchestras will take the baton to conduct the Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Pasadena.
A program of the music of Mozart, Viotti, Schumann and Shostakovich will be performed by artists from the orchestra: Christina Eastman, violinist; Hillary Lin Santoso, Kevin Hou and Leslie Cain, pianists.
An added feature to the evening’s festivities will be a silent auction before the concert for a beautiful full-sized violin painted with peacocks and music motifs by local artist Bea Barrio. Bidding for the artistic violin will start at $50. Proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Youth Chamber Orchestra.
The First Church of the Nazarene is located at 3700 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Pasadena. Free.
